Meet the New Lara Croft : Alison Carroll

With Tomb Raider: Underworld on the horizon, it's time to roll-over that lease into a newer model for series heroine Lara Croft. Meet 23-year-old Alison Carroll, a professional display gymnast from the Croydon area of London, England, who has performed in front of Prince Charles himself. Miss Carroll beat out hundreds of applicants for the role of Lara Croft, the new position allowing her to quit her day job as a receptionist. She's now undergoing a rigorous daily training schedule to make sure she is ready to pose next to red-faced fans, far too nervous to notice what seems to be a scar on her left knee or the well-placed mole, not that I was paying attention.

Jennifer Aniston calling it off with John Mayer

Jennifer Aniston and John Mayer are "taking a break." Apparently, John hit the brakes after all the baby talk. I guess nobody informed Jennifer Aniston that telling a dude you've only been dating for a few months you want kids is kind of a turn off.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports:

Apparently, Aniston gave Mayer a "three strikes and you're out" ultimatum -- after learning about his "quickie" flings with a cocktail waitress and a promoter's assistant for his concert tour.
That was two strikes. Another dalliance, with a groupie, was the final straw for Aniston.

A longtime major Hollywood studio exec -- and good Aniston buddy -- adds this: "Above everything else, Jennifer is looking for stability and loyalty in a relationship. She still is hurting from losing Brad [Pitt] to Angelina [Jolie] -- even after all this time."

Jamie Lynn Spears' husband cheated on her??

Casey Aldridge, the father of Jamie Lynn Spears' daughter Maddie, was reportedly sleeping with another woman while Jamie Lynn was pregnant. His mistress was 28-year-old Kelli Dawson (above) and I can see the attraction. Who doesn't love a weary-looking southern belle with a scowl that could peel paint off a barn? I can almost smell her sweet Marlboro breath from here. Ahh! InTouch reports:

"The pair didn’t bother to hide their relationship.“ Kelli and Casey have been a couple on and off for a few years,” confirms Jason Alexander, Britney Spears’ first husband and a native of nearby Kentwood, La. “They were a really tight couple, but I think it was hard for Kelli, having Jamie Lynn in the picture.”

Kelli says she and Casey stopped sleeping together a few months before Jamie Lynn gave birth to their daughter, Maddie. “It just didn’t feel right,” she explains. “He had to deal with the baby coming, and it had to stop.” She says the last time the couple had sex together was in March but “even after we stopped having sex, we would still kiss occasionally.”
