Actress, Bernadette Peters has got some big shoes to fill if she plans on replacing Tony award-winnng Catherine Zeta-Jones in her role as Desiree on the Broadway musical 'A Little Night Music'. Recently, Bernadette Peters got some practice as a fill in on Regis & Kelly, where she took Kelly Ripa's role as host for a day. Of course, that job is a little easier than the role that Stephen Sondheim wants her to play. Bernadette Peters said of Mr. Sondheim: "We talk every once in a while.
